With Life, Rhythm, Heart and Soul
Singer and songwriter, Brent Burn’s latest music CD, “Ragtops and Flip
Flops”, reflects his fervent love of life and people. Brent not only shares
his joy of life and his experiences but also shares the experiences of
family, friends, and the people he meets during his travels through the
incredible genius of his lyrics and the marvelous rhythmic creativity of the
music he writes.
Brent’s world is one of guitar picks, guitar strings, headphones,
microphones, musicians, recording studio, impromptu performances on the
beach or singing for his family and friends at a pub, on stage performing
for a charitable cause, or entertaining our servicemen and women here at
home and abroad. Brent’s carefree style, his humor, and his love are in
every word of his lyrics. His music fills the air and fills the ears of his
listeners with an amazing and unique musical beat in song titles such as,
“Weenies And Bikini’s”, “I Married My Stalker”, and “Build Them A House” a
tribute to Habitat For Humanity.
Brent’s music reminds me of music from a Caribbean island or from an island
in the South Pacific yet, Brent’s music also has a touch of Country with a
little Pop-Rock added, as well. Actually, his music is all of the above and
more. Brent’s friends, in an organization he belongs to called, the
‘Margarita Mafia’, refer to his style of music, as ‘Trop-Rock’, which they
define as rock with no roll, country with a tropical flair, and lyrics that
depict a carefree lifestyle.
There is no doubt that “Ragtops and Flip Flops” is exceptional, very
extraordinary, and very unique. Brent’s music CD receives MWSA’s TOP RATING
of FIVE STARS and MWSA’s 2007 Special Recognition Award for top
Music/Creativity CD.”
I personally give this music CD my endorsement and highly recommend it to
music lovers of all ages.
