Harry Smith is
an individual with deep personal convictions bolstered by a fundamental
belief in God and His influence in everyday events.
His poetry has basis in his personal experiences from which he draws
meaningful instruction. Imagery and iambic pentameter are used throughout
his compositions to good effect. The Challenges people face are the
nourishment of his poetics. All human exchange is judged in the light of
moral and Christian principles.
Smith understands human nature with its pluses and minuses as they exist in
all of us.
Rather than judging, he holds human action up to be either valued or
changed. He encourages us to be positively introspective; to perform
everyday actions in the light of our moral makeup.
He well deserves the various awards garnered by his writings as mentioned in
his books.
