Voices
of Vietnam
Author: Charlene Edwards
Publisher: Da Capo Press
Reviewer: Bill McDonald – President of the MWSA
It is the most moving book of its kind out there today
dealing with the aftermath of the Vietnam War, the people who fought there
and live there and the great land itself. Wonderful interviews that are
insightful go along with some super photos. This book is in my house on my
coffee table. I am honored to have a copy to show others.
This book needs to be seen to be appreciated and
understood. It is emotionally gripping and takes you through the written
word and by the visual use of photos into the spiritual and emotional womb
of that place in our history—The Vietnam War, as you turn page after page.
It will be truly be an experience and not just a casual trip though its
pages. When you are done looking and reading, you will find that you will
need some time to be silent and just meditate on your own life.
Simply the best book of its kind on any book shelf in the
world! Buy a copy for your coffee table and for your guests to read - but
more importantly, buy a copy for your own heart and soul! Suitable for all ages
groups to read.
Winner of several awards including Best Photo Book
for 2003 by The American Authors Association and the Gold Book
Award for 2004 from MWSA.
