After her tour of duty with the Air
Force, Jo Anne and her husband Sam along with three sons live in Arkansas.
During a challenging night of storm,
howling wind, heavy rain and no electricity, Jo Anne wrote this novel about
the various aspects of her growing family.
A very important foundation in her
religion is expressed throughout her book. Her children have a similar
outlook on God’s role in their lives. It is not a “beat you over the head”
kind of religion; rather, a daily practice of observing that God has an
important role in each of their lives.
They respect other people’s outlook.
Happy to instruct by daily example, the family goes about living as if
religion is the most common attribute to possess. This approach has a
positive effect on family friends.
How to influence through good example and
through the acceptance of each other’s talents and strengths is a continuing
theme in Jo Anne's presentation. She lives what she believes.
