Harry C. Smith’s second book of poetry “Spiritually Stimulated Emotions” comes packaged once again as very much family friendly and G-Rated. He presents a book of spiritually charged prose ranging from his Christian themed poems to more emotional based verses. One of the best poems in his book is called “Beautiful Black Rose” which deals with romance and love; truly a stand-out poem in this book.

There is a very subtle divine like power in the undercurrent of all his writings in this volume of his poetry. There is a sacred balance with spiritual and emotional issues as the poetry takes the reader on a journey through this book. However, the ever present love for things spiritual is never out of focus with the poet. It is easy to see that his life is intertwined with his religious beliefs. This poet’s eyes are always ever present on his personal love of God and Jesus; it shows in all of his verses.

If you are a Christian you will find yourself drawn to this book but it is not an open door to other faiths. There are some individual poems which may have universal interests (Love and relationships) but most of the poems deal with Jesus Christ and Christian themes.
