Military Salute – In Honor of America’s Military Past
and Present
Produced by: Jeff Seeber and the
Minnesota Platoon
Reviewer: Bill McDonald – President of the MWSA
A Patriotic Tribute to the
Military and to 9/11 that is both Emotional and Spiritual
There are some things that still
move me to tears (Yes, old veterans do still cry and have emotions but
mostly in private.) like the movie “Brian’s Song” or “Old Yeller”
but this simple and loving tribute DVD that Jeff Seeber put together
will move a mountain to tears! “Military Salute
– In Honor
of America’s Military Past and Present” is the best inspiring 34
minutes you will find in any movie.
Jeff is a service–connected
disabled Navy veteran who has taken slides, film clips, music, and text and
weaved them together in a spiritual and emotional sequence that has lots of
energy and power. He takes viewers through the various branches of the
Military with slides and music. Hearing the USMC Hymn played with a slide
show of Marines in action or watching and listening to the Air Force theme
music with jets in the skies or listening to “Anchors away my boys…” while
viewing the ships and men of the US Navy is heady stuff. The nice part of
all of this is that Jeff has been giving this work away for years. He
doesn’t make a cent from this project and does it all out of love for his
country and for those who have served.
There is a playing of Taps
and Amazing Grace on bag pipes that is coordinated with slides of
military funerals and such that is the most moving of all.
It is just not the military who
are honored as the DVD also shows us the 9/11 attacks on New York’s World
Trade Center. The film includes our present war in Iraq as well.
Seeber has played this DVD on
several TV stations to rave reviews. He gives this DVD away on his website
where you can download it for free. He also distributes copies at events
like the MWSA’s own San Diego “Salute to the Military."
His work is an unselfish act of
pure patriotism and love for his fellow veterans. We are grateful for all
that he has done for so many. This DVD gets the MWSA’s highest rating
for a DVD – FIVE STARS! This is professional quality and worth
viewing many times. I would recommend that veteran groups get a copy to
share and show at their meetings
– it is that good.
