Story Would Make Great Children’s
Movie!
You can tell that the author, Jan
Culbertson, is a father and grandfather. He takes a good tale for children
and weaves it into a moving action adventure for young people. His book,
“The Legend Of Willow Springs’ Farm” is the kind of story that you would
expect to be made into a good children’s movie. It has all the right
elements to keep a younger audience’s attention. There is a little mystery,
danger, lost treasure, horses, grandma’s old farm and even a villain. It is
a perfect book to be read to young children and even a better book for
fourth graders and above to read for themselves.
I read each and every page and enjoyed it
and I am a 60 year young man! I think when my grandchildren get a couple
years older I will read it to them.
The author writes from the point of view
of two young girls who go to visit their grandmother’s farm. He captures
that energy and spirit in his writing style and makes it believable. The
book is family friendly. Boys as well as girls will enjoy the book; as will
their grandparents and parents!
This gets the MWSA's Family Rating of
Five Stars!
