Edge of your seat Submarine Thriller!
There are an elite few who write great
modern thrillers, such as Tom Clancy, Gayle Lynds, Joe Buff and Jeff Edwards
just to name but a few of the great ones. But author John Foster is pushing
to be included or at least noticed in that circle of creative power and
energy. His submarine thriller “Fairbanks Risen” has a
storyline that kicks butt with action, suspense, plot twists, great
characters and good dialog. It has all the elements that could propel it
into the public limelight if given some media attention and hype.
The story is riveting and makes this a
difficult book to put down once you begin reading it. It is very powerful
entertainment. The technical stuff in the book sounds like the real stuff.
Being a former Army Huey guy I do not know the first thing about submarines
or nuclear power or Navy warfare tactics. But that is the issue here –
making it believable to readers like me. I have heard from people who should
know these things and it rings true with their experiences as well.
The book relates the history of the
lighthouses, the rescue boats, the ice cutters, the service in different
wars, the battle against drug dealers and all kinds of air and sea rescues.
It is a full history from the beginnings of the service to the present day
under the Office of The Homeland Security.
