This is a novel that reads like it’s
been ripped from the front page of the New York
Times.
Continued crisis in the middle east,
an oil ‘issue’, Israeli-Palestinian problems,
FBI-CIA turf battles; first-time author David Salkin
has come up with a book that begins to rival the
stories of Tom Clancy. A former Marine, Salkin
writes knowledgably and at times, humorously, on the
Middle East, and his research and attention to
detail is one of the reason the book is so readable.
Set in the post 9/11 world, “Crescent Fire” could be
either a fiction novel or the next headline in
Newsweek – it’s that good. Could we see another
terror attack on CONUS ? “Crescent Fire” makes the
case that we could.
Highly recommended, Salkin has
written a book that makes for excellent reading for
anyone interested in current events. |
