**Although our members have opinions regarding current events, our intent is to support the United States military rather than denounce it. We have no illusion that the performance of our military or our nation’s leaders are flawless, but we feel strongly that there are more than enough existing venues for criticizing them. We do not wish to become another one. Consequently, we make efforts to avoid publishing material that we find to be primarily critical in nature.

Our Featured Poem...

HERO's WALL

In the house where I grew up there were pictures in the hall.
Smiling men in uniform, called the Hero’s Wall
Grainy black and whites of men I’d never seen
So I asked my daddy what do they all mean?

His look got sad and wistful, seeing years go by.
And though he never shed a tear, I thought that he might cry
He said I served my country just like these brave men.
But they just won’t be coming home again.

He said these men fought bravely many years ago
They lost their youth and innocence in a God forsaken war
We talked of friends and comrades sacrificing all
So he put them up on a Hero’s Wall

I grew up brave and strong and I served my country
I fought and prayed and bled, like my father before me
I watched my buddies die, sacrificing all,
So I put them up on a Hero’s wall

My son looked up at me, so innocent at 10
He pointed to the pictures and he asked about way back when
I gazed at my old friends, some never to come home.
And a tear caught my voice
As I passed the torch along

I said these men fought bravely many years ago
They lost their youth and innocence in a God forsaken war
We talked of friends and comrades sacrificing all
So I put them up on a Hero’s Wall

Son never forget the Hero’s Wall

Sempre Fi brothers!
