Why Me?

In the times I have felt

Alone, abandoned, and afraid

I have always questioned, why me Lord?

Leaning on my own strength

Which has never been enough

I should have stopped to listen

I would have heard you say

I never promised you an easy life

But strength for the journey

Is found in my grace

You are but a traveler

Who sometimes chooses the wrong path

But I never left you alone

I had to let you fall flat on your face

To learn life’s lessons to make you strong.
