WELCOME HOME!

The tours are completed;

Rotation is in the orders.

Your thoughts are on family,

Spending quality time with them.

Will the youngsters know you?

Two long years have gone by.

You have missed the wife

And your children so much.

Your spouse has taken care

Of the bills and the house.

You feel you owe her for all that;

She knew what to do all the time.

How will you adjust to civilian

Life? Is that a fear within you?

Don’t give that question a thought.

We welcome you home once more.

You have been so important to us

During your tours of duty away.

You will find respect especially,

As well as an heartfelt gratitude.

All of us want your return to be easy;

Take your time to become reacquainted.

The main thing is that you are back.

That is what we have prayed for each day.
