Single CD Hits Heart Strings With Patriotic Verses

When singer/song writer Damon Henrichs came across a poem through his emails he realized that the words were very powerful and he wanted to put them to music. He found out that they had been written by Autumn Parker, a wife of a Green Beret who was then stationed in Iraq. This match gave birth to a heart wrenching patriotic song that is hitting all the right cords across country.

To make matters even better they decided to donate the net proceeds from the CD sales to “Operation Military Pride” (http://www.operationmilitarypride.org/). The name of this wonderful two song CD is “I Got Your Back.”  The second song is a slightly different version of the original song which is the first track. It makes a plea on that second song for donations and support for Operation Military Pride.

The music is country style with a special feeling of softness and sensitivity to the way it is sung. It is a strong but compassionate voice that takes Parker’s beautiful poetry and mixes it into a spiritual and emotionally creative masterpiece. I think the strength of this recording is that both the words and the music can stand alone – they equally as creative and artistic.

The CD begs for follow-up collaborations between this singer/composer and poet. Truly a pleasure to listen to and buying it helps a great cause.
